BLACKWOOD GULLY is an affordable, family-friendly destination with a tasty home-made menu.
Our chef and staff at Blackwood Gully prepare all our super-fresh foods on-site. Blackwood Gully's famous Big Breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns and toast will fuel you up for a day of walking in the Otways.
We also serve a more modest Classic Breakfast, plus simple fare of baked beans on toast, or toasted raisin bread.
Blackwood Gully's signature Devonshire Tea is perfect. Made to our own secret recipe the scones are short, light and delectable. They are served with double thickened cream, organic jam and the tea or coffee of your choice.
You may be out enjoying the countryside but there's no excuse for anything less than a fragrant cup of coffee, made just how you like it. You name it, we'll make it - caffe latte, cappuccino, espresso, ristretto, flat white ... We use Vittoria Coffee's 100% Arabica beans for their mild acidity with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness.
When it comes to morning and afternoon teas we also have a large range of Australian home-made favourites such as ANZAC biscuits, jam drops, and white-chocolate and macadamia cookies. For those who prefer gluten-free we prepare almond meal and fruit friands, plus a choice of cakes including a white chocolate cake, and a chocolate, walnut and date cake.
Our sugarless fruit cake is always a hit with diabetics.
At lunchtime our menu includes seafood, chicken, vegetarian dishes, or soup of the day served with crusty bead.
We have a substantial Specials Board which changes daily.
For those in search of a light meal there are a range of salads, frittata, foccacias and sandwiches.
There's nothing better than relaxing over a leisurely lunch with a good glass of wine, or beer. Blackwood Gully offers a good selection of Australian beers, plus red and white wines from Victoria and New South Wales.
Children love our babyccinos, iced coffee, milkshakes, spiders and of course hot chips.
